Pimple Saudagar resident loses over Rs 11 Lakh in online task fraud ; Sangvi Police register case
A resident of Pimple Saudagar has lost Rs 11.51 Lakh to fraudsters in an online task fraud.
As per further information from a press release by Sangvi Police, the accused, identified as Mahika, lured the victim, to earn extra money by giving him a work form. The accused gave him an online task to like some locations on Google & kept sending money to the victim to win his trust.Â
Then, the accused lured the victim to earn more money by investing in BTC/USDT on a Telegram group by assuring the victim of high returns. Hence, the victim invested Rs 11,51,984 on Telegram group for the same.
However, the victim did not receive any returns on it for a long time & the accused did not respond to the plaintiff. Thus, the victim registered a case with Sangvi Police for swindling.
The case has been registered under Sections 420, 406, 34 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) & Section 66 (D) of the IT Act. Further investigation in the case is going on.
