Pune: In an additional attempt to bring back the Pune airport bus service, the Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) plans to start negotiations with the airport’s management to allow buses to stop close to the terminal, ensuring a seamless traveller experience.
A PMPML official stated that although the ABHI (airport bus for business, home, and hotel connectivity) bus service was not anticipated to be revived at this time, it will be modified in light of the airport’s new terminal building, which is anticipated to open soon.
There are 21 bus trips that pass through Lohegaon on their way to various locations, according to a senior PMPML official. One could arrange for these buses to stop close to the airport structure in Pune. They had earlier discussed things with the airport authorities, but they seemed uninterested. They claimed that this would lead to problems with traffic. They will talk with them about the same things once more.
Three shuttle buses from Yerawada metro station and Ramwadi station to the Pune airport have already been decided to operate by the Pune metro authorities and the PMPML.

Another PMPML official stated that they hope to improve their offerings because the airport’s new construction is scheduled to begin soon. They anticipate that some flyers will take it if the buses stop at the bus stop next to the airport building. An exclusive airport shuttle service was provided by the ABHI bus service. They are discussing the general bus service here, which will also stop close to the airport structure.
