Good News : Property holders in Maharashtra will be able to access old land records online
Under the National Land Records Modernization Programme, the Government of Maharashtra has decided to computerize the land records of the state and make them available online to the citizens. E-records is an important project being implemented for scanning old land records.
As per further information, the scanning work of old records of all tehsils, land records and records of city land survey office of 35 districts except Mumbai is in final stage and currently scanning work of 22 districts has been completed and uploaded online.
The records of 22 districts such as current account statement, notes, balance sheet, plan sheet, K.J.P (Kami Jasta Patrak) (Lesser Assessment Register), old income slip, inquiry register etc are available, free of cost, to the citizens for only viewing at https://aapleabhilekh.mahabhumi.gov.in/erecords
Usually, citizens require attested copies of old records related to their property for various reasons. Hence, the Revenue Department and Land Records Department are in progress to digitally authenticate the scanned records of 22 districts for which uploading has been completed.
From 19/1/2024, the records of 22 districts which have been digitally authenticated will be made available on the website https://mahabhumi.gov.in.
The rest of the records will be made available to the citizens as soon as they are authenticated. Citizens are requested to take advantage of this service.
