Malls in Pune to reopen, shops allowed to operate till 8 pm

Restrictions in Pune to be relaxed from tomorrow, August 9, 2021
After a long debate, Pune city will finally see some relaxation in the Covid19 restrictions.
Pune Mayor Murlidhar Mohol today announced that after much persistence, the demands of unlocking the restrictions were agreed in the review meeting held today.

Key points announced in the meeting :
All Shops to remain open from 7 am to 8 pm
Hotels to remain open till 10 pm
Every Saturday and Sunday all services can remain open till 4 pm
Malls will remain open till 8 pm and entry shall be allowed to those who have taken second doses only.

Positivity rate in the city is 2.88 %
For the last five days, the positivity rate in the city is showing downward trend. The positivity rate from July 4-10, 2021 was 4.98 % while this week it was recorded 2.88%.
The restrictions have been relaxed keeping in mind the downward trend in the positivity rate.
Detailed guidelines shall be issued by the Pune Municipal Corporation shortly.
