Pimpri Chinchwad Police Commissioner Krishna Prakash donated over 1072 books to the flood affected libraries in Chiplun.
The flash floods that affected Chiplun took away several rare books from the libraries and left behind a big loss to avid book lovers. Understanding the importance of books, Krishna Prakash donated books on his birthday recently.

On his birthday on August 15, Krishna Prakash appealed to the citizens of Pimpri Chinchwad to donate books instead of cakes, flowers and other gifts. His appeal received a huge response and more than 1000 books were received at his office. Krishna Prakash was informed that the floods in Chiplun affected these libraries wherein books were under flood water for two days. Books as old as 150 years were damaged.
