A women only kitty party is about bonding with nature

We have seen ladies playing kitty to get stress free from all their mundane lifestyle. They dance, sing, enjoy and play kitty where money is involved. But this kitty in Pune’s Sahakar nagar area exchanges plants. Isn’t it amazing ?

Plant Kitty party is being celebrated in Sahakar nagar’s Tulsibaug colony by a group of ladies where they exchange plants and celebrate kitty. The idea of such a unique plant party was initiated by Dr. Vinaya Dixit who is a Pune based Ayurvedic doctor.
While speaking with Pune Pulse she opened up about the stress and anxiety women go through when they are idle. She said, the problem is observed more among women who are educated and are workaholic.
During the 1stcovid wave the whole country was under strict lockdown and all the workload fell on the housemakers. They found it very difficult to cope up with the physical and emotional stress. Being a doctor I felt plant based remedies can do wonders, she said.
Dr Dixit took the initiative of giving away free plants to the women of her building. And many women started participating in this plant Kitty now they have a whatsapp group formed where the participants age group is from 35 to 75 years.
Dr. Vinaya Dixit informed us about the spider plant which acts as a purifier and purifies the environment.
“Care for plants because they are full of life. They too require love and affection and the result will be amazing. Plants do make the environment stress free and peaceful,” added Dr Dixit.
