Aai Pratishthan chairman Prasad Mahadev Babaralongwith Badruddin Shaikh, Rakesh Sharma, Arbaaz Shaikh, Kiran Chavan, Chetan Gajare, Abhi Patilrecently met Sachin Talewar, chief engineer, Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited and handed over a letter to him requesting him to transfer an officer in charge of the Kondhwa branch of MSEDCL over inefficiency to resolve the power issues.
Babar in his letter has mentioned that areas such as Bhagyodaya Nagar, Meetha Nagar, Shivneri Nagar, Saibaba Nagar, Kakade vasti, Survey no. 42 and 43 suffer due to prolonged power cuts. It takes around 5-10 hours for power supply to resume and there is no intimation for power cuts. There is no one who responds to the calls made to the officials. Residents many times in the pas have approached Patil with their issues but they were responded in a rude way always.
Babar further said that many senior citizens have been visiting the office to seek solution on their inflated bill but there has been no response yet. Also many MSEDCL properties around the area are not maintained properly. MSEDCL must look into these problems too. Sachin Talewar head of Pune city MSEDCL was unavailable for any comment on the issue.
