Abhilasha Barak becomes first woman officer to join Army Aviation Corps

It was a Golden Letter day, as Captain Abhilasha Barak created history by becoming the first woman officer to join the Army Aviation Corps as Combat Aviator. 

26-year-old Captain Abhilasha Barak from Haryana becomes Indian Army’s first woman combat aviator. 
She completed her training at the Combat Army Aviation Training School in Nashik along with 36 other Army pilots. 

Captain Abhilasha Barak has been awarded the Coveted Wings along with 36 Army Pilots by Director General & Colonel Commandant Army Aviation.
Young Aviators are now ready to spread their wings in Combat Aviation Squadrons.
