Accident between car and truck on Mumbai-Pune Expressway, two injured 

On Saturday, 1st March 2024, an accident took place at Mumbai-Pune Expressway at night. According to the reports, The incident took place around 12:00 am at night between a car and a truck. No casualties have been reported. The car was going towards Karjat’s side when a truck came and bashed into the car causing severe injuries to the people sitting In the car.There were two people in the car who have been identified as, Yogesh Waghmare and Anil Shilsagar. These two have undergone several injuries on their hands, legs and neck. The injured are currently admitted to MGM Kamothe Hospital. 

According to Police officer Machindranath Jaiwant Jadhav, Mumbai-Pune Expressway, “People should not cross the speed limit and drive within the given limit, secondly drinking and driving is also one of the major cause of accidents on expressways, thirdly racing with other vehicles should be avoided, in such cases the vehicle loses its control due to overspeeding which leads to accidents and even fatalities, moreover using of phone should be avoided while driving on Expressway.”
