The Samruddhi Mahamarg has been in the news ever since its inauguration. Already the number of accidents on the highway does not seem to stop. This time, the motorists are panicking due to huge potholes that can be seen on the highway. Due to this, the risk of accidents has increased and the drivers are scared.

Now the highway patch, near Lohegaon in Nandgaon Khandeshwar taluka, has got a dangerous pothole. The concrete on the bridge collapsed while the farmers were walking along the highway. Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident. For the last six months, complaints were being made that there were errors in the design and construction of this road.

Samruddhi Mahamarg has been constructed at a cost of Rs 55 thousand crores. However, within a few months after the inauguration, potholes have started forming on the highway. This increases the chances of accidents.

Lack of passenger facilities on the highway is also being considered as the reason for frequent accidents on the Samruddhi Mahamarg. Due to lack of facilities, drivers have to drive carefully.

Due to continuous driving, drivers are suffering from highway hypnosis, making mistakes like lane cutting, over speeding. Due to this, the incidents of road accidents are continuously increasing.
