Actor Mushtaq Khan, known for his roles in Welcome and Stree 2, was allegedly kidnapped near the Delhi-Meerut highway and tortured for 12 hours.
Actor Mushtaq Khan recently revealed a harrowing experience in which he was kidnapped under the pretense of attending an event in Meerut. The incident occurred shortly after comedian Sunil Pal shared a similar ordeal.
Mushtaq was reportedly provided with flight tickets and an advance payment to attend the event. Upon landing in Delhi, he was taken in a car to the outskirts of the city, near Bijnor, where he was held captive.
Details of the Ordeal
Shivam Yadav, Mushtaq’s business partner, shared that the kidnappers tortured the actor for 12 hours and demanded a ransom of ₹1 crore. They eventually extorted ₹2 lakh from Mushtaq and his son’s accounts.
In a dramatic escape, Mushtaq ran away after hearing the morning azaan, realizing a mosque must be nearby. Seeking help from locals and the police, he managed to reach safety.
Investigation Underway
Mushtaq and his family were left shaken by the incident. An FIR has since been filed in Bijnor, with evidence including flight tickets, bank transactions, and CCTV footage. Mushtaq also identified the neighborhood and the house where he was held, aiding the ongoing investigation.
This comes after comedian Sunil Pal also reported being kidnapped under similar circumstances. Both cases highlight growing concerns about targeted crimes against public figures under the guise of professional invitations.
