Pune Airport is gearing up for a bustling summer season with the anticipation of increased flight movements and the introduction of new connections. An official at the airport, expressed optimism, stating, “We are expecting an increase in flight movements with some new flights in the summer schedule. It will go live soon.”
The summer flight schedule, spanning from March 31 to October 26, has additions, with two new flights set to commence operations from March 31. These flights, bound for Kolkata and Jaipur, will operate six days a week, offering passengers enhanced connectivity options.

As the season progresses, Pune Airport anticipates further expansions, with additional flights to Kolkata and Vadodara slated to join the roster. Furthermore, both domestic and international travelers can look forward to increased connections, including an additional route to Dubai.

Efforts to bolster connectivity have been ongoing, with the airport actively encouraging airlines to utilize available slots. With the new terminal poised to commence operations by April 15, passengers can anticipate a seamless travel experience, boasting enhanced facilities and ample space.

Previously 109 arrivals and departures had been approved for Pune Airport, with approximately 90 currently in operation. However, the prevalence of late-night “red-eye” flights has posed challenges, leading to congestion and logistical issues.

Addressing concerns, an official emphasized the need to mitigate the influx of red-eye flights, particularly in the new terminal, to prevent operational disruptions and ensure a smooth passenger experience.
