Almost two decades after her last major show in the country, global music superstar Shakira is returning to India to perform live for her fans in Mumbai and Delhi this April. The Grammy‑winning artist, whose electrifying hits like Waka Waka and Hips Don’t Lie have captivated audiences worldwide, is bringing her signature energy back to Indian stages as part of the Feeding India Concert 2026 initiative.

Shakira, a four‑time Grammy Award winner, last toured India in 2007. Her return this year marks a significant moment for Indian fans who have eagerly awaited another chance to experience her live performances. The concerts are scheduled to take place at Mahalaxmi Racecourse in Mumbai on April 10 and Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Delhi on April 15 — both part of a broader vision to promote a hunger‑free and malnutrition‑free nation through the power of music and community engagement.

Speaking about her return, Shakira shared, “Performing in India has always been special to me, and I’m excited to connect with my fans across Mumbai and Delhi. The Feeding India Concert is about standing together to ensure every child has access to the nutrition they need to thrive.”

Organised in collaboration with the nonprofit initiative Feeding India and District by Zomato, this marks the first time the Feeding India Concert will span multiple cities — underscoring the event’s growing scale and ambition. The project aims to leverage the universal language of music to highlight social causes and foster meaningful change.

Ticket access details have been announced for fans eager to secure seats for these landmark shows. Zomato District app members will receive exclusive early access to tickets starting February 27, while the general public can begin purchasing tickets — also through the District app — from 1 PM on March 1. As the concert dates draw nearer, organisers have indicated that additional updates and information will be shared with the public.

Rahul Ganjoo, CEO of District by Zomato, emphasised the broader impact of the concerts, stating, “Music has the unique power to unite people across boundaries, and we’re leveraging that to drive meaningful conversations that can transform lives.”

Shakira’s music career has been defined by global success and cultural influence. She has sold over 100 million records, earning her a spot as one of the best‑selling female Latin artists of all time. Her awards and accolades — including multiple Grammys, Billboard recognitions, and a Guinness World Record — reflect the enduring appeal of her songs, which continue to dominate playlists long after their original release.

Beyond her musical achievements, Shakira is known for her philanthropic work, especially through her Barefoot Foundation, which champions education and opportunities for vulnerable communities around the world.
