Pune: Minor Girl Sexually Assaulted In Warje By Known Acquaintance, Case Filed
Pune, February 20, 2026: In a shocking incident, a minor girl was sexually assaulted in a car on the pretext of dropping her off at school has come to light. A case has been registered against one person in this case. The accused is an acquaintance of the schoolgirl.
A case has been registered against a 29-year-old youth in this case. The mother of the minor girl has filed a complaint in this regard at Warje Malwadi police station.
According to the information given by the police, the accused is an acquaintance of the schoolgirl. He was acquainted with the mother of the victim girl. On February 18, at around 6:45 am, the accused took the minor girl in a car, saying that he would drop her to school. He stopped the car on DP Road in Karvenagar area. In the car, he threatened the girl and assaulted her. He threatened to kill the girl if she told anyone about this incident. The frightened girl informed her mother about this after she returned from the school.
Thereafter, a case was registered against the accused under the rape and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act.
