Air India Express has successfully resolved a dispute with its cabin crew following conciliation talks facilitated by the Chief Labour Commissioner. The airline has reinstated the 25 cabin crew members who were terminated for reporting sick, and all cabin crew members who had reported sick are required to provide a fitness certificate and return to duty immediately.

The agreement comes after disruptions in services caused by the mass reporting of sick leave by cabin crew members, leading to the cancellation of almost 170 flights in two days. Both parties were summoned to resolve the dispute, and the successful conclusion of the talks will allow Air India Express to swiftly restore its flight schedule and fulfill its commitments to its guests.

“We are pleased with the progress we made at the conciliation meeting and welcome our cabin crew colleagues back at work,” said an Air India Express spokesperson, expressing gratitude for the resolution of the issue.
