Air India has announced detailed flight schedule changes following a press statement issued on June 18 regarding temporary service reductions involving its Boeing 787 and 777 aircraft. These changes will take effect from June 21, 2025, and are expected to continue until at least July 15, 2025.
The airline stated that the move aims to accommodate enhanced voluntary pre-flight safety inspections and longer flight durations caused by ongoing airspace restrictions in the Middle East. The temporary reductions are intended to restore schedule stability and avoid last-minute disruptions for passengers.

- Delhi–Nairobi (AI961/962): 4x weekly
- Amritsar–London Gatwick (AI169/170): 3x weekly
- Goa (Mopa)–London Gatwick (AI145/146): 3x weekly
Reduced Frequency Routes (Until July 15, 2025)
North America:
- Delhi–Toronto: 13x to 7x weekly
- Delhi–Vancouver: 7x to 5x weekly
- Delhi–San Francisco: 10x to 7x weekly
- Delhi–Chicago: 7x to 3x weekly
- Delhi–Washington D.C.: 5x to 3x weekly
Europe:
- Delhi–London Heathrow: 24x to 22x weekly

Air India has expressed apologies to affected passengers and assured that all impacted travelers are being contacted for alternative flight arrangements, free rescheduling, or full refunds. The updated flight schedule is being made available progressively on airindia.com, the mobile app, and the airline’s contact centers.
The airline reaffirmed its commitment to safety, stating, “Passenger, crew, and aircraft safety remain our top priority. We aim to restore our full network as soon as possible.”
