In a scheduled operation, the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) announced a two-hour traffic block on both Pune and Mumbai-bound lanes of the Mumbai-Pune Expressway. The interruption is slated for Tuesday to facilitate the installation of overhead gantries, as confirmed by an MSRDC official on Monday.

According to the MSRDC, traffic diversion will be in effect from 12 pm to 2 pm on December 12, directing vehicles to the old Mumbai Pune Highway during this period. The specific locations for gantry installation are Kusgaon Dheku Village at KM 56/900 and Ozarde Trauma Care Center at KM 74/900 on the Expressway, as outlined in the official release.

The Mumbai-Pune Expressway, distinguished as the country’s first access-controlled highway, will witness this temporary disruption to enhance infrastructure and accommodate the installation of essential overhead structures.
