Dismissing widespread speculations, the Petrol Dealers Association Pune (PDA) has officially refuted any intentions of initiating a strike or shutting down petrol pumps within the district.

Dhruv Ruparel, the President of the Petrol Dealers Association Pune, provided a categorical assurance to the public, explicitly denying the existence of any strike planned by the association. In an official press release, Ruparel urged citizens to resist succumbing to panic fueled by baseless rumors or misinformation.

He stressed, “We earnestly request the general public not to be alarmed by any form of unfounded rumors or news.” Ruparel went on to reaffirm the association’s commitment to ensuring a consistent supply of petrol and diesel across the district.

The press release underscored the unwavering dedication of Oil Marketing Company (OMC) officials in guaranteeing an uninterrupted fuel supply. Despite the circulating false claims, OMC officials remain vigilant in their efforts to meet the fuel demands of the region.

In clarification, Ali Daruwala, Spokesperson for the All India Petrol Dealers Association (AIPDA), assured, “All petrol pumps will remain operational. The ongoing nationwide transporters’ strike will not impact the supply of petrol and diesel in Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad. The district administration has ensured police protection for petroleum tankers at the Loni depot, facilitating the replenishment of petroleum products. All petrol pumps in Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad will continue their normal operations.”
