All senior police officers and police inspectors have been ordered to completely eradicate illegal businesses in Pune city. A ‘surgical strike’ will be conducted very seriously against those who engage in and continue illegal activities. Also, Commissioner of Police Amitesh Kumar said that a special campaign will be implemented against criminals to get rid of the crime scenario in Pune.
Amitesh Kumar took charge of the post of Pune City Police Commissioner on Thursday (1st February). Immediately after that, he held a meeting with senior officials at the Police Commissioner’s office. Also, a meeting of senior inspectors of all police stations was held on Friday (2nd February). In this meeting, he reviewed the crime and current situation in the city.
All police officers have been instructed to bring crime under control. Strict action should be taken against the criminals who commit murder, attempted murder and other crimes. The campaign against seasoned criminals will now be carried out in a different manner. He said that police patrolling will be increased in the city and instructions have been given regarding proper planning.
Strict action will be taken against the criminal gangs in the city. Amitesh Kumar said that instructions have been given to the police officers to take effective preventive action against the inn criminals who beat up the citizens and rob them and stab them with weapons.
Continuation of illegal businesses in the city will not be tolerated under any circumstances. Police inspectors have been ordered to completely eliminate illegal businesses.
A review was held in a meeting of senior police officers and senior inspectors of the city police force. After that, a meeting of the police officers of the crime branch will be held on Saturday (3rd February). Also, there will be a meeting of the officers of the traffic department on Monday (5th February). Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar said that the traffic situation in the city will be reviewed.
