Fans Disappointed as 'Animal' OTT Release Falls Short of Expectations

According to recent reports, ‘Animal,’ starring Ranbir Kapoor, is set to premiere on Netflix this January. The anticipated digital release is scheduled for January 26, coinciding with Republic Day, as revealed by a South First report.
While Netflix has yet to confirm or deny the rumors, the Twitter handle OTTGuru has seemingly leaked the release date, declaring, “Animal OTT release, Jan 26!”
Moreover, director Sandeep Reddy Vanga hinted at an extended OTT version. In an interview with Komal Nahta, Vanga shared that he would incorporate scenes cut from the theatrical release, making the OTT version longer than its original three hours and 21 minutes.
“I should have left the 3 hours 30 minutes instead of 3 hours 21 minutes. Now, I will be using those 5-6 minutes extra,” revealed the director.
About ‘Animal’: Featuring Ranbir and Anil Kapoor, ‘Animal’ is a grippingly gruesome tale portraying the intense devotion of a son to his absentee father. The star-studded cast also includes Rashmika Mandana, Bobby Deol, Tripti Dimri, Pran, and others.
Despite facing criticism from critics, the film emerged as a box-office sensation, surpassing Rs 850 crore globally.
