Are you waiting for an eye catching registration number for your four wheeler?

Here is an opportunity. Pimpri-Chinchwad’s Sub Regional Transport Office has announced advance applications for reserving attractive registration numbers in the ‘KW’ series for private four-wheelers.

This opportunity by RTO enables vehicle owners to secure their desired registration numbers in an easy process.

RTO officials issued a statement regarding the same. It mentioned, “To apply for an appealing or preferred number in the new ‘KW’ series, interested individuals must complete the application form in the prescribed format and pay the necessary fee.

The application form, accompanied by a Demand Draft (DD), should be submitted in person at the office’s new vehicle registration section between 11 am and 2.30 pm on June 1. Additionally, applicants need to provide attested copies of their address proof, Aadhaar card, identity card, and PAN card.”

There have been instances where the office has received multiple applications for the same numbers. The RTO has a solution to it.

RTO officials said, “In the event that multiple applications are received for the same registration number, the office will display the list of applicants on the notice board on June 2. The applicants included in this list must then submit a single money order (DD) for the auction in a sealed envelope to the office by 2.30 pm on the same day. The Demand Draft should be obtained from a nationalized or scheduled bank located in Pune, specifically in the Pimpri-Chinchwad area. At 3.30 pm on the same day, the envelopes will be opened, and the registration number will be allocated to the applicant who submitted the highest bid.”

As per RTO details, Once a registration number is reserved, it cannot be changed. However, if the vehicle is not presented for registration within 30 days from the reservation date, the reserved number will be automatically canceled, and the fee paid will be credited to the government treasury. It’s important to note that the fees paid are non-refundable under any circumstances. Any changes in the charges for attractive numbers will be applicable at the time of reservation.

The Deputy Regional Transport Officer of Pimpri-Chinchwad encourages interested individuals to seize this opportunity to secure their preferred registration numbers in the ‘KW’ series. By following the outlined procedure, vehicle owners can personalize their four-wheelers with distinctive and appealing registration numbers, adding a touch of individuality to their vehicles.
