Archana Puran Singh Talks Salary and Role Ahead of ‘The Great Indian Kapil Show Season 2’
As excitement builds for the second season of “The Great Indian Kapil Show,” Archana Puran Singh has shared insights into her salary and role on the show. In a recent interview with Siddharth Kannan, Singh, alongside fellow cast members Sunil Grover, Kiku Sharda, and Rajiv Thakur, discussed her compensation compared to others.
Singh revealed that despite being a key source of laughter on the show, her salary is not as high as that of her colleagues who take on more demanding roles. She said, “I’m happy with what I earn because I only have to laugh. The rest of the crew, who work harder and handle makeup, get paid double for their efforts.” Singh added with humor, “Some get paid for their beauty, others for their talent, but I get paid for all of that.”
Reflecting on her role, Singh emphasized that anyone suggesting she tone down her laughter “might not be on this earth.” Sunil Grover pointed out the irony of such suggestions given Singh’s unique role on the show.
Season 2 of “The Great Indian Kapil Show” is set to premiere on Netflix on September 21.
