Armed goons attack Yoga Bar restaurant in Nagpur

Nagpur: An alarming act of violence unfolded at the Yoga Bar Restaurant in the Kadri area, which falls under the Kanhan Police Station’s jurisdiction. Armed individuals invaded the restaurant, inflicting considerable damage and instilling fear among both staff and patrons. The entire episode was captured on CCTV, showing the attackers brandishing swords and sticks while wreaking havoc and intimidating the bar owner.

Following the incident, Deendayal Bawankule, the bar owner, lodged a formal complaint with the Kanhan Police Station. The police responded promptly, registering a case and managing to arrest the perpetrators within 12 hours in Kalmeshwar.

The detained suspects are Shailesh Nagpure (21, Old Kamptee), Abdul Shah (33, Shanti Nagar), Mayur Borkar (20, Kalamna), Swanil Tolamajre (23, Old Kamptee Road, Kalamna), and Abhishek Gongne (25, Ramtek). According to the police, the gang extorted a sum of ₹1.52 lakh from Bawankule and caused substantial property damage.

The operation was conducted under the supervision of Nagpur Rural Superintendent of Police Harsh Poddar and Additional Superintendent of Police Ramesh Dhumal.
