The Ayodhya Development Authority (ADA) is set to embark on a transformative project to establish a beach also known as a chowpatty at Ram Ki Paidi, situated along the banks of the Saryu River in Ayodhya.

The Uttar Pradesh Housing Department has given the green light to ADA’s proposal, envisioning a vibrant riverside space that caters to both locals and visitors.

To bring this vision to life, ADA is working diligently on creating multiple temporary structures and designated zones for food carts at Ram Ki Paidi.

The emphasis is on maintaining high standards of hygiene and quality, evident in the meticulous preparations being made by the authority. The plan includes covered spots under canopies or pergolas, enhancing the overall aesthetics and functionality of the Chowpatty.

As part of the project’s development phase, ADA has floated a tender to initiate construction at the site. The selected agency will have a six-month window to complete civil works, ensuring the timely realization of the Chowpatty.

The allocated budget for the project is approximately INR 4.66 crore, covering various aspects such as basic infrastructure, sanitation, electrification, firefighting, water supply, parking zones, horticulture, and a well-designed paved entry route.

The comprehensive approach also includes provisions for seating capacity, with a minimum requirement of 50 individuals, allowing visitors to comfortably enjoy the riverside ambience. ADA’s initiative aligns with a broader plan to enhance recreational spaces along the Saryu River, reflecting the authority’s commitment to creating appealing and accessible waterfront experiences.

The establishment of the Chowpatty at Ram Ki Paidi is poised to become a vibrant addition to Ayodhya’s landscape, offering a delightful blend of cultural, recreational, and culinary experiences.

With the proactive steps taken by ADA and the approval from the Uttar Pradesh Housing Department, this project is set to contribute significantly to the city’s appeal and provide a welcoming space for community engagement along the scenic Saryu River.
