Baba Siddique Murder Case: Killers Watched YouTube For Shooting Practice, Sources
In a shocking revelation, it has been discovered that the shooters who killed Baba Siddique, a Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader and former Maharashtra minister, used YouTube tutorials to learn how to shoot. According to Mumbai Police sources, Gurmail Singh and Dharamaraj Kashyap, two of the four accused arrested so far, watched videos on YouTube to practice shooting.
The accused shooters made over 10 failed attempts to kill Siddique near Bandra in the past month but were unsuccessful due to his unpredictable schedule and security detail. They were instructed to carry out the hit near his son’s office in Kherwadi, an open area that would facilitate their escape.
The Mumbai Police have arrested four suspects, including Harishkumar Balakram, a 23-year-old scrap dealer from Pune, who provided financial and logistical support to the shooters. Balakram’s scrap shop was used by the accused, and he even purchased new mobile phones for them before the crime.
The police have recovered two pistols, one Glock and one country-made, from the arrested suspects. Three others – Shubham Lonkar, Shiv Kumar Gautam, and Mohammad Zeeshan Akhtar – remain at large.
On the night of October 12, three people shot Baba Siddique outside his MLA-son Zeeshan Siddique’s office in Bandra. Siddique was rushed to Lilavati Hospital, where he was declared dead. He was laid to rest the next day with state honors, and his funeral was attended by prominent political leaders and Bollywood personalities.
The investigation is ongoing, with the police working to locate the site where the shooters practiced their marksmanship. Gurmail Singh and Dharamaraj Kashyap are currently in police custody until October 21.
