Bachchan Family Expands Real Estate Portfolio with Rs 25 Crore Mulund Property Acquisition
Bollywood icons Amitabh and Abhishek Bachchan continue strategic realty investments in Mumbai.
The Bachchan family has added 10 premium apartments in Mulund West to their ever-growing real estate portfolio, purchasing properties worth Rs 24.95 crore. Bollywood megastars Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan sealed the deal in Oberoi Realty’s upscale project, Eternia, marking another significant acquisition in Mumbai’s high-demand residential sector.
The purchase consists of 10 luxury units, complete with two dedicated parking spaces per apartment, incurring a total stamp duty of Rs 1.50 crore. Abhishek secured six apartments for Rs 14.77 crore, while Amitabh bought four units. Eternia offers a mix of ready-to-move-in 3 BHK and 4 BHK apartments, adding a premium lifestyle option to their portfolio.
The Bachchan family’s real estate acquisitions have consistently made headlines. Since 2020, they have accounted for over 25% of celebrity property transactions in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region, with an estimated Rs 219 crore invested across 0.19 million sq. ft. of property. Their 2024 realty investments have now exceeded Rs 100 crore, with previous purchases in Oshiwara and Borivali East contributing to their growing footprint.
Beyond Mumbai, Amitabh Bachchan also recently acquired a 10,000 sq. ft. plot in Ayodhya for Rs 14.5 crore. “I am looking forward to building my home in the global spiritual capital,” Bachchan expressed, reflecting his personal connection to the city.
In addition to their real estate ventures, the Bachchan family has also expanded into corporate investments, recently acquiring a minor stake in the IPO-bound food delivery platform Swiggy.
This latest Mulund property acquisition continues the family’s consistent and strategic approach to real estate, further cementing their presence as prominent investors in both residential and corporate sectors.
