On December 11, Balewadi Residency Co-op Housing Welfare Federation Ltd. will celebrate Pedestrians’ Day at Dussehra Chowk.

The residents of Balewadi area have different plans.

The area has many issues related to road with height barrier, public transport service, lack of streetlights, road, missing sign boards, footpaths full of encroachments, improper and inadequate roads and most importantly a clean and odour-free area. The residents of Balewadi area have already placed their demands to the corporation.  On December 11th, Balewadi Residency Co-op Housing Welfare Federation Ltd will celebrate Pedestrian Day at Dussehra Chowk to ensure that pedestrians are given their due importance.

“We have some demands from the municipality. The roads should be suitable for vehicles; potholes should be filled and obstacles should be repaired, transport service should be provided on the entire road, streetlights should be installed and most importantly, the road and area should be clean and odour free.  We are going to celebrate the Pedestrian Day by gathering at Balewadi, putting up posters and creating awareness,” Ameya Jagtap, member of Balewadi Residency Co-Op Housing Welfare Federation Ltd.
