BJP Women’s Wing Submits Memorandum To Pune Police Commissioner Following IT Employee’s Murder, Demands Enhanced Safety Measures
Pune: In the wake of a brutal murder of a female employee by a male colleague at an IT company in Kharadi, the Pune BJP Women’s Wing delegation has submitted a memorandum to Pune Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar, demanding immediate action to ensure women’s safety in IT companies.
Key demands include:
- 1. Immediate directives to all IT companies in Pune to formulate independent women’s safety policies.
- 2. Deployment of women police patrols in areas near IT hubs during employee exit hours.
- 3. Audits of CCTV systems in company premises to ensure they are operational, adequate, and strategically placed.
- 4. Mandating full-time deployment of female security guards in company security teams.
The Police Commissioner has assured the delegation of prompt action on these demands. Delegation members included Women’s City President Harshada Farande, Priyanka Shendge Shinde, Swati Mohol, Gayatri Khadke, Neha Gore, Ashwini Kosrikar, Manisha More, and Khushi Late.
