The cab strike in Pune & Pimpri Chinchwad is intensifying as there are no cab vehicles seen in the Aeromall parking (according to the video). Also, cab drivers are not taking trips.

Speaking to Pune Pulse, Dr Keshav Kshirsagar, President, Baghtoy Rickshawala Association, said “Only the fleet vehicles, owned by cab companies, are there in the Aeromall parking. Rest of the cab drivers are not there. The cab drivers on the streets are not accepting rides. Some individual cab owners, who just pretend to join the strike, are being explained everything properly by our people. The strike is for an indefinite time period until the cab drivers earn as per the revised cab rates. We are going to meet the Pune District Collector today regarding this.”

As per further information from Dr Keshav Kshirsagar, the cab drivers, instead of using violence, the cab drivers are explaining to people about not accepting rides.

In Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad, cabs and auto rickshaws run by app-based cab companies have gone on a strike starting today, March 5 –

Dr Keshav Kshirsagar further shares that why don’t the authorities dare to take action against the companies that flout all the rules and defy the Supreme Court rules on a daily basis? What is this? So, even though the planned agitation, demonstrations cannot be held, all app-based cabs and rickshaws services will remain closed indefinitely from 7 am.
