On 15th December (Friday) night at Goa International Airport, a bomb scare occurred after a cabin crew member’s bag was inadvertently picked up from Delhi airport.

Following the incident on an Air India Express flight from Delhi to Goa, authorities allowed the 171 passengers to disembark after discovering that the bag contained only clothing.

It wasn’t until the plane touched down in Goa and the passengers were ready to disembark that the crew member realized her bag was missing. She was taken aback when she noticed an unclaimed bag in the overhead luggage bin and told the pilots, who then notified air traffic control of the situation. The plane was moved to a remote bay.

The authorities issued a bomb alert as a result. Clothes and personal belongings were the only items discovered by the authorities after they scanned and opened the bag, and they were eventually linked to the resident who had taken a plane from Jaipur to Delhi.

Air India Express has been given a show-cause notice by the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security for allegedly failing to perform mandatory baggage reconciliation on hopping flights. According to a spokesperson from Air India Express, the cabin crew on our flight from Delhi to Goa noticed an unknown bag. They notified the authorities right away.

According to an official from the Airports Authority of India, the bag belonged to a man who had disembarked at the Delhi airport. The bag belonged to the man who had flown from Jaipur to Delhi, and the aircraft had flown between Jaipur and Delhi before operating on the Delhi-Goa sector. Hastily, he grabbed a cabin crew member’s bag.
