Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC) 16 is one of the most popular TV shows in India, and its host, Amitabh Bachchan, is known for engaging in intriguing conversations with contestants. He often uses fun banter to help contestants feel at ease while they are on the hot seat.
However, in a latest episode, which was called the India Challenger Week, the megastar Amitabh Bachchan was left speechless after a female contestant made a strange request.
The entire week will witness a change in the format of the game show with an introduction of a new segment called ‘Jaldi 5’. As per the twist, the top 2 winners of Fastest Finger First will compete for the hot seat and whoever wins the round will make it to the hot seat.
In the first round, Alka Singh and Harshit Bhutani competed with each other. The episode, which aired on Monday, August 26, saw Alka Singh getting emotional as she gets on the hot seat after winning the challenge. Amitabh Bachchan noticed this and gently handed her some tissues.
The actor mentioned that many contestants get emotional when they get on the hot seat. Alka humorously responded that she had not cried that much. Hearing this, Big B apologises for his assumption and says he has quickly said sorry. In response, Alka playfully referred to him as a ‘good boy’.
During the game, she took a moment to make a request to Amitabh. She asked Big B if she could touch his beard. The request left him in shock.
She explains, “It might be awkward for you, but I wanted to touch your beard.” When Big B asks why she doesn’t touch her brother’s or father’s beard instead, she responds, “My brother likes to keep a clean shaven look so he doesn’t have a beard, and neither does my father.” Big B humorously responds, “When your brother turns 82, his beard will turn white too. You can touch it then.” He comes up with an idea that she can touch the beard when the show comes to an end and Alka says he is making an excuse.
On the work front, the actor was last seen in the blockbuster film, Kalki 2898 AD in June. He has also been busy with the making of Vettaiyan, his Tamil debut film. Amitabh reunites with Rajinikanth after 32 years for the film.
