Case filed against teacher for beating up 6-year-old

It has been learnt that the teacher had allegedly threatened the child and asked him not to tell about the incident.

In a bizarre incident, a case has been registered against a government school teacher at the Wanowrie police station for beating up a 6-year-old boy on December 2. The 35-year-old teacher penalised the child because his handwriting was not good.

It has been learnt that the teacher had allegedly threatened the child and asked him not to tell about the incident. However, the first grade child spoke about the same at home and the boy’s father lodged a police complaint.

Speaking about the incident, SPI Deepak lagad of Wanowrie police station said, “We have received a complaint against the teacher and the investigation is on. Appropriate action if found guilty”.
