Caught on camera: Delhi man stabs woman multiple times in Mukherjee Nagar for alleged mockery.

In a disturbing incident captured on CCTV, a man identified as Aman stabbed a woman multiple times in Delhi’s Mukherjee Nagar. 

The attack, which occurred on March 22, stemmed from the accused’s claim that the woman had mocked him. Despite sustaining minor injuries, the woman managed to escape danger, and the police swiftly apprehended the perpetrator.

According to reports, Aman had been subjected to ridicule by students in the area, who often referred to him as “crazy” due to his aimless wandering. The victim, a student who frequented Mukherjee Nagar to study at a local library, became the target of his aggression.

The CCTV footage depicts Aman rushing towards the woman, knocking her to the ground, and then repeatedly stabbing her. Passers-by intervened, preventing further harm to the victim. Despite attempts by Aman to flee, bystanders managed to restrain him until authorities arrived.

During interrogation, Aman confessed to his actions, citing the woman’s alleged mockery as the catalyst for his violent outburst. Fortunately, the prompt intervention of onlookers prevented the woman from sustaining serious injuries.

The incident serves as a stark reminder of the importance of addressing mental health issues and fostering a safe environment for all members of society.
