PUNE: To ensure safety of the residents living in residential societies in purview of Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation has made it mandatory to install Close Circuit Television System (CCTV) and intercom facility.  The builders and developers henceforth must install surveillance system mandatorily for the safety of the residents.

A meeting was held between PCMC officials and members of Chikhali Moshi Pimpri Chinchwad Housing Federation, Bhosari constituency MLA Mahesh Landage and PCMC Commissioner Shekhar Singh which discussed a variety of issues. 

MLA Mahesh Landage on his X handle, announced the decision and thanked Shekhar Singh for approving many demands putforth by the members of the federation. 

Following the approval of the federation’s demands by Commissioner Shekhar Singh, CCTV cameras will also be installed to improve water supply and enhance the safety of the society. 

Various issues were addressed, such as the developers making unauthorized changes to the construction plan and using open parking spaces in the society without consent..

The crucial matter of ensuring the safety of society members was also discussed, specifically focusing on the installation of CCTV systems and the provision of intercom facilities by construction professionals.
