Veteran actor Jackie Shroff celebrated a significant milestone in his illustrious career as his iconic film ‘Hero’ completed 40 years on Saturday. To commemorate this four-decade-long journey, Jackie took to Instagram, sharing a heartfelt video featuring cherished moments from the film that catapulted him to stardom.

In the Instagram post, Jackie expressed his gratitude for the remarkable journey, captioning it, “From Dust to Star… #Hero #40years.”

Directed by the legendary Subhash Ghai, ‘Hero’ featured a stellar cast including Meenakshi Seshadri and late actors Amrish Puri, Shammi Kapoor, and Sanjeev Kumar. Ghai also joined in the celebration, reminiscing about the film’s launch and its impact on their careers.

“Today, celebrating 40 years of our HERO 1983, launched many of us under the banner of Mukta Arts Pvt Ltd – Jackie Shroff and Meenaxi Sheshadri, Saroj Khan. And her first Filmfare award – singer RESHMA’s immortal song, singer Anuradha Podwal, and Manhar Udhas, flute theme by Hari Prasad Chaurasia, Laxmikant-Pyarelal. The film ran for 75 weeks, including Chennai Tamilnadu. Remakes of ‘Hero’ in all South languages were super hits. Congratulations to everyone connected with HERO today and yesterday. Feel blessed,” Ghai wrote in his celebratory message.
