Users of Samsung and Apple products, take note: the Indian government has alerted both businesses to potential security risks, citing numerous vulnerabilities that could jeopardize your device and data.

The Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In) claims that there are multiple security holes in Apple products that could give hackers access to more of your personal data. These flaws impact the Safari web browser as well as iOS, iPadOS, macOS, tvOS, and watchOS.

A CERT-in statement stated that multiple vulnerabilities have been reported in Apple products which could allow an attacker to cause denial of service (DoS) conditions, execute arbitrary code, circumvent security restrictions, access sensitive data, bypass authentication, gain elevated privileges, and perform spoofing attacks on the targeted systems.

Similar vulnerabilities in Samsung products have previously been reported by CERT-In. These flaws could allow attackers to get past security measures, access your data, and run malicious code on your device. Samsung mobile Android versions 11, 12, 13, and 14 are impacted by these bugs.

It is recommended that users exercise caution when utilizing their devices, particularly when downloading apps, opening attachments, or browsing the web. They should also monitor their devices for any suspicious messages or activity. Additionally, make sure to update to the most recent version of any of these devices if there is one, as it might contain important patches.

Even though Apple and Samsung are two of the most reputable smartphone brands in the industry, cyberattacks can still target them. When using any device, users should always be alert and mindful of the potential risks involved.
