In a bid to enhance connectivity and facilitate seamless travel, the Vande Bharat Express network is gearing up for an expansion on the Central Railway. Two new routes are in the pipeline, connecting Mumbai to Kolhapur and Pune to Vadodara.

The Vande Bharat Express, renowned for its swift and comfortable journeys, is strategically planned to link religious destinations and business hubs nationwide. The decision to extend two Vande Bharat services on the Central Railway stems from the popularity among passengers, who appreciate the efficiency of short and rapid trips. The introduction of these routes aims to meet the increasing demand, ensuring an easier travel experience for commuters.

Passengers can now look forward to the Vande Bharat Express connecting Mumbai to Kolhapur and Pune to Vadodara, slashing travel times between major cities. Currently, the Vande Bharat Express operates on several routes, including Mumbai to Mumbai Central to Gandhinagar, CSMT to Madgaon, CSMT to Shirdi, CSMT to Solapur, and CSMT to Jalna.

This marks the fifth Vande Bharat Express route, extending from CSMT to Kolhapur, providing an additional option for travellers.

The Western Railway’s Mumbai Central to Gandhinagar route has received significant acclaim. The upcoming Pune-Vadodara Vande Bharat Express will further improve rail connectivity between Maharashtra and Gujarat.

Railway officials have revealed that the Pune-Vadodara Vande Bharat Express will traverse through Vasai Road, offering passengers a convenient and efficient mode of transportation. With these expansions, Vande Bharat Express continues to play a pivotal role in connecting key destinations, bringing people closer in record time.
