Centre for Environment E education (CEEE) opened at SPPU

On the occasion of World environment day celebrations the department of environmental science sppu inaugurated its centre for environment E education (CEEE) remotely at the hands of honorable minister for environment forest and climate change Prakash javadekar, honorable vice-chancellor professor Nitin Karmalkar and Pro-vice chancellor professor N.S. Umrani. As the minister was preoccupied with several meetings at the centre, he graced the event with a recorded message, congratulating the university on its thoughtful initiative.

On this occasion the first produced documentary of the CEEE , ‘Taljai- the green heart of Pune’ was screened.

The head of department of environmental science said that the personal message sent by honorable minister Prakash Javadekar is not just an encouragement but an added responsibility that now the centre will keep an eye on our progress and our development.

The centre for environment education is a brainchild of professor Nitin karmalkar the current vice chancellor and the former head of environmental science department of Pune University and has been pursued by the current head professor Suresh Gosavi, who has the creative support of Vivek Nabar and Balkrishna Damle and their entire team.
