'Chala Hawa Yeu Dya' to Return on July 26 with a ‘Comedy Gangwar’; Bhau Kadam Missing from Promo Sparks Speculation
Zee Marathi drops new promo, confirms air date and time for the much-loved comedy show’s fresh season
Zee Marathi has officially announced the return of its popular comedy show Chala Hawa Yeu Dya, revealing the premiere date through a newly released promo. The upcoming season is titled “Comedycha Gangwar” and will begin airing on July 26, every Saturday and Sunday at 9:30 PM.
The promo features familiar faces like Abhijeet Khandkekar, Shreya Bugade, Bharat Ganeshpure, Onkar More, Kushal Badrike, and Priyadarshan Jadhav. The storyline hints at a humorous turf war among comedy stars, with Abhijeet asking each one, “Who will be the don of comedy?” Eventually, Priyadarshan makes a dramatic entry in a red suit and bearded look, claiming, “Fakt apan!” (Only me!), which sparks a comic scuffle among the performers.
However, one notable absence from the promo has stirred speculation—Bhau Kadam, one of the show’s most beloved and consistent cast members, is nowhere to be seen. This has left fans wondering whether he will be part of the new season. Sagar Karande is also reportedly missing, raising further questions about the original team lineup.
“Chala Hawa Yeu Dya” has entertained viewers for over a decade and was once Maharashtra’s top-rated comedy show. However, falling TRP ratings led to its temporary closure. This time, the show aims for a strong comeback with a fresh format and possibly new talent, promising a refreshed dose of laughter for loyal fans.
