Chandrakant Patil's Rally Receives Enthusiastic Welcome in Baner-Balewadi
Pune: A grand rally was organized in the Baner-Balewadi area as part of the election campaign for Chandrakant Patil, the BJP Grand Alliance candidate for the Kothrud Assembly Constituency. The event received a spontaneous and enthusiastic response from local residents.
Patil’s rally began with a unique touch as he was driven on a bullock cart, symbolizing a traditional connection with the community. The rally started from Ai Chowk and passed through significant local landmarks, including Mamta Chowk, Dussehra Chowk, Balewadi Gavthan, Bhairavanath Temple, Laxmimata Temple, and Ujpatri Shivaji Maharaj Memorial. It proceeded through various neighborhoods such as Chakankar Mana, Balewadi Fata, and Madhav Bagh, and eventually concluded near the public relations office of former corporator Jyoti Kalamkar.
The route was marked by vibrant celebrations, with women performing aukshan (a traditional welcoming ritual) at multiple locations. Flowers were showered upon Patil and his supporters, and the festive atmosphere was amplified by the sounds of drums and clappers.
The rally saw the presence of BJP North Mandal President Sachin Pashankar, former corporator Amol Balwadkar, Jyoti Kalamkar, along with other prominent party members including Ganesh Kalamkar, Prahlad Saikar, Swapnali Sapkar, Laghu Valyahkar, Rahul Kokate, Rohan Kokate, Uma Gadgil, and Asmita Karandikar, who joined with other BJP office bearers.
This rally, organized by the Kothrud Uttar Mandal and supported by Moze College, demonstrated a strong show of support and unity among local BJP leaders and citizens in the lead-up to the assembly elections.
