On the occasion of New Year, citizens throng Shrimant Dagdusheth Halwai Ganpati Temple in large numbers to seek his blessings. Hence, due to a large number of vehicles on the roads in the area, the traffic increases.

As per information shared by the Pune Traffic Police, due to this, change in traffic must be made to avoid traffic congestions near the Dagdusheth temple area during this period. Therefore, except for essential service vehicles (e.g. fire brigade, police vehicles, ambulances, etc), from 5 am on January 1 2024 till the end of the rush, the traffic on the following roads in Dagdusheth Ganpati Mandir area will be changed as follows:

Closed Road: The road leading to Swargate through Shivaji Road will be closed.

 Alternative route: Motorists should go from SG Barve Chowk to Jungli Maharaj Road to Khandojibaba Chowk – Tilak Chowk – Tilak Road to the desired destination.

Closed Road: The road from SG Barve Chowk to Pune Municipal Corporation is being closed.

Alternative route: Motorists should go from SG Barve Chowk to Jungli Maharaj Road, take a left turn from Jhansi Rani Chowk, and go to the desired destination.

Closed Road: The road from Appa Balwant Chowk to Budhwar Chowk is being closed.

Alternative route: Motorists should go directly to the desired destination via Bajirao Road.

Closed Road: Traffic from Jijamata Chowk on Shivaji Road to Daruwala Bridge on Ganesh Road is closed.

Alternative route: Motorists should go from the left side of Gadgil Putla & go from Kumbharves Chowk – Pavle Chowk – Old Saattoti Police Chowki to the desired destination.

Closed Road: Traffic going to Devjibaba, Jijamata Chowk on Ganesh Road is closed.

Alternate route: Motorists should go from Apollo Talkies, Narpatgiri Chowk, and Daruwala Bridge – Dudhbhatti to the desired destination.
