Chhat Pooja celebrated in Pune

Chhat Pooja was celebrated in a grand way in Pune’s various areas, mainly by Biharis living in the city.

The residents offered Arghya to the setting and rising sun on both Sunday evening on October 30 and Monday morning on October 31. 
Over 500 residents celebrated Chhat Pooja in Wadachiwadi area in a traditional way.

Speaking to Pune Pulse, Brajesh Kumar, a resident of Undri said, “Arghya was given to setting sun and morning Arghya will be given to the rising sun on Monday, October 31. It is a very auspicious festival among people belonging to the Northern India, mainly Bihar and Jharkhand. I celebrated it with my wife and my entire family. jyoti tiwary. Many Bihari people living in various societies in Undri, Pisoli, Wadachiwadi, Handewadi and nearby locations also attended the pooja.” 

Residents of Nyati Esteban housing society in Undri also celebrated the festival on the terrace of the building. Residents of the society created an artificial water body and offered arghya to the setting and rising sun and offered their prayers to Lord Sun.
