Chief Minister instruct all Guardian Ministers to keep health facilities ready in the districts

Though the Covid situation in the state is under complete control, in countries like China, Japan, America, and Brazil cases are increasing.

Nagpur: Chief Minister Eknath Shinde conducted a Cabinet meeting on 22 December over the rising number of Covid-19 cases in other countries. During the meeting, he directed all Guardian Ministers to arrange health facilities in their district.

CM Shinde also directed the Chief Secretary to communicate  to all District Collectors to strictly follow the testing, tracking, treatment, vaccination and Covid appropriate behaviour in their districts.

Though the Covid situation in the state is under complete control, in countries like China, Japan, America, and Brazil cases are increasing. In China, the BF7 variant of the Covid virus is spreading rapidly.  Steps are being taken by the state to keep the spread under check.  

Chief Secretary of the Health Department Dr Sanjay Khandare gave a presentation on the Covid situation. He informed that the State has 2216 Covid hospitals and 1,34,000 beds.
