Chikhali News : Citizens await resurfacing of Chikhali – Moshi road
Moshi: Residents of Moshi-Alandi road have been waiting for more than two weeks now for resurfacing of the road, which was dug up to lay water pipelines. The area had severe water woes which was resolved by laying a water pipeline by the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation. However, even after the work is over, the road has not been levelled which is inviting accidents. The dug up road is also causing dust issues leading to air pollution.
Sanjeevan Sangale, the chairman, Chikhali-Moshi Pimpri Chinchwad Cooperative Housing Societies’ Federation, said, “We had complained to the PCMC Commissioner about the issue. In response, the Commissioner informed them that the work cannot be carried out soon. According to the rules, after the completion of the water supply line and checking technical facts, the work of concretization will be carried out.”
Makarand Nikam, City Engineer (civil) of the Building Permission department, stated, “The digging work had been done for laying the water pipeline on the main Dehu road from Chikhali to Moshi to Alandi road. The road concretisation will be carried out soon.”
