Chinchwad Constituency: First-Ever Vintage Car And Bike Exhibition In City To Promote Voting Awareness In Pimple Saudagar
Pimpri, November 15, 2024: For the first time, a grand “Vintage Car and Bike Rally and Exhibition” has been organized by the municipal corporation at the H.A. Ground in Nehrunagar, Pimpri. The initiative aims to raise voter awareness and increase voter turnout in the Pimpri, Chinchwad, and Bhosari assembly constituencies. Citizens have a unique opportunity to witness historic and rare vintage cars and bikes. Additional Commissioner Vijaykumar Khorate has urged residents to participate in large numbers and make the most of this event. Â
Under the guidance of Commissioner Shekhar Singh and Additional Commissioner and SWEEP Nodal Officer Vijaykumar Khorate, the municipal corporation is conducting voter awareness campaigns through various activities. As part of this initiative, the exhibition will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2024, from 6 PM to 8 PM. A vintage car and bike rally will kick off at 5 PM from Kokane Chowk, Pimple Saudagar, proceeding through Nashik Road, the Bharat Ratna J.R.D. Tata Flyover, the old Mumbai-Pune Highway, and Vallabh Nagar before concluding at the H.A. Ground in Sant Tukaram Nagar, where the exhibition will officially begin.
The campaign aims to increase voter participation in the democratic process. Special efforts are being made to reach women, senior citizens, persons with disabilities, first-time voters, and other community groups through various programs. Citizens are being encouraged to recognize their democratic duty and actively vote.
This vintage rally and exhibition will feature several rare models, including the Fiat Balilla (1935), Fiat Millecento (1955), Fiat Select (1960), Fiat Super Select (1962), Fiat President (1975), Fiat Premier Padmini (1980), and 118 NE, among others. Citizens are invited to take advantage of this opportunity to view these historic vehicles. Deputy Commissioner Anna Bodade has also urged the public to attend the exhibition in large numbers.
