The 34-year-old tech professional named Subhash, who lived in Bengaluru, took his own life on December 9 at his home in Marathahalli. He accused his estranged wife and her family of harassment, leaving behind a 90-minute video, a detailed 24-page suicide note, and a placard that read “Justice is due.”

Subhash claimed that the actions of his estranged wife and her family drove him to this tragic decision. His estranged wife, Nikita Singhania, works as a specialist in artificial intelligence and machine learning at Accenture, which is the largest information technology company in the world. Following this incident, there have been widespread calls for Singhania to be terminated from her position. Aggressive complaints have been directed at Accenture’s page on X (formerly Twitter), prompting the company to limit public access to its official account. While the Indian account remains visible, it has been inactive.

A report from News18.com claims that Subhash’s in-laws are currently evading the authorities. His mother-in-law, Nisha Singhania, and brother-in-law, Anurag, have reportedly fled their home in Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh, to avoid arrest after being named in a first information report (FIR) filed by the Bengaluru Police. The FIR includes charges such as abetment of suicide.

A video that allegedly shows Nisha Singhania leaving her house on a bike late at night has been circulating on social media.

Subhash’s family is demanding justice and strict action against those they hold responsible for his death. According to Subhash’s lawyer, Dinesh Mishra, Subhash earned approximately Rs 84,000 per month in Bengaluru. In July, the Family Court in Jaunpur ordered a monthly alimony of Rs 40,000 for Subhash’s child, intended for the child’s expenses and not for his wife. The lawyer also mentioned that the court did not mandate any maintenance payments for Nikita Singhania, as she is well-established and has a good income.
