Citizens Urge Pune Airport To Reinstate Paid Assistance Service

Pune Airport Effortlessly Manages Diwali Rush Through Strategic Planning
Pune Airport’s paid assistance service, which offered help with baggage and smooth check-in for Rs200, was discontinued several months ago, sparking demands for its return. The service, introduced by Chennai-based Global Flight Handling Services Private Limited in 2021, was designed to assist passengers near departure and arrival gates.
Young staff members provided support with luggage and ensured a hassle-free check-in process.

Plz allow senior citizens and family with small kids to take pick up from terminal. To get cab from #aeromall at #pune airport stressful & adding cost to fetch travellers. Plz allow prepaid taxi pick from terminal. pic.twitter.com/LNPGIHyPaT
According to officials at Pune Airport, the service was halted because the company decided to withdraw it due to insufficient response. Currently, the airport authority is working on reintroducing an improved version of the assistance service. A new tender has been issued, and officials are hopeful for a swift restart.
The company’s customer service lines have been unresponsive since Thursday morning, adding to the uncertainty surrounding the service’s future.
The company had aimed to ensure passengers had a smooth experience while entering and checking in at the airport.
The reestablishment of this service is eagerly awaited by travellers who previously benefited from it.
