Pune, June 8, 2026: The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), a youth-driven movement advocating for education reforms and transparency in recruitment processes, has announced a protest at Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) on June 11.

The organization shared details of the demonstration through its official social media platforms, stating that the gathering will take place at 4 pm on the university campus. CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke is expected to participate in the event, which is being promoted under the campaign slogan demanding accountability in the education sector.

The planned protest follows the group’s recent demonstration at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi, where students and supporters assembled to raise concerns over alleged examination irregularities, paper leak incidents, and employment-related challenges faced by young graduates.

Over the past few weeks, CJP has gained attention for highlighting issues such as recruitment delays, examination transparency, unemployment, and educational reforms. The movement is led by Abhijeet Dipke, a Maharashtra native currently pursuing higher studies in the United States.

Among the group’s primary demands is increased transparency in competitive examinations and government recruitment processes. The organization has also called for stronger accountability mechanisms within the education system.

Following its Delhi protest, CJP indicated that it would expand its agitation to multiple cities if its concerns were not addressed. The upcoming Pune demonstration is being viewed as part of that wider outreach and mobilization effort.

The movement has attracted significant traction on social media, where supporters describe it as a grassroots platform representing students and job aspirants. Its unconventional name and branding have contributed to its rapid visibility among young people across the country.

As of now, no official announcement has been made regarding security arrangements or permissions related to the proposed protest at the university campus.
