College Student From Pune Dies As Speeding Bullet Bike Hits Divider; Two Pedestrians, Including An Elderly Man, Injured
A college student lost his life after his speeding Bullet motorcycle crashed into a divider in the Bharatkunj Society area of Erandwane. In the accident, two pedestrians, including an 86-year-old man, were injured.
The deceased has been identified as a resident of Hingne Khurd, Sinhagad Road). Pedestrians S Datar (86, resident of Karvenagar) and Jay H (a resident of Sinhagad Road) (name changed) sustained injuries. Police Constable Ramdas Gore has filed a complaint at the Alankar Police Station.
According to police, the college student was on his way home on his Bullet motorcycle around 3:45 PM on Thursday. While passing through the Bharatkunj Society area, he lost control of his bike, which collided with a road divider. The impact caused severe head injuries to the biker and his motorcycle struck pedestrians Datar and Hulge. Biker, Datar, and Hulge were immediately taken to the hospital, but the biker succumbed to his injuries before receiving medical care.
Further investigation is ongoing in the case.
