Committee established for 11 merged villages by PMC to hear property tax woes

A meeting with Vikram Kumar, commissioner, Pune Municipal Corporation was organized by former minister for state Vijay Shivtare at PMC headquarters today with regards to inflated property tax bills, water supply, sewage system and also about other issues from the newly merged villages in PMC. 

In the meeting it was decided to form a committee under Kunal Khemnar, additional commissioner, PMC, who will scrutinize the property tax bills of property holders from these areas. Issues of property tax from Ambegaon, Undri, Pisoli , Handewadi and other villages will be heard by this committee and shall be resolved. This committee has four PMC officers wherein Vasant Sutar will monitor the applications. The work by this committee regarding scrutinizing the documents will be done on Tuesday and Thursday between 11 am to 2 pm. 


For villages such as Ambegaon Budruk, Ambegaon Khurd, Jambhulwadi and other areas the water woes have remained unresolved, complained residents. The officials suggested that the water supply shall be regulated through old water schemes till the time new ones are implemented. 
PMC Commissioner has asked water department to resolve the water issue of Yeolewadi, as even after 10 years of being merged in the civic limits the area has poor water supply management. 

PMC will write to RERA against the builders troubling property holders to pay property tax for the period where the property is not in possession of the property owner. 


The meeting was attended by Commissioner Vikram Kumar, Dasharath Kalbhor, Swati Takle, Amrita Babar, Deepak Gujar, Namesh Babar, Santosh Tathe, Atul Dangat, Anil Kondhre, Tanaji Dangat.
